The purpose of the American Rhododendron Society and
the Willamette Chapter, in Salem Oregon serving the mid-Willamette
Valley, is the encouragement of the culture of rhododendrons,
including azaleas, and the increase of the general understanding of
and interest in all aspects of these plants. The Chapter
activities include monthly meetings (except during the summer), a
spring public display of rhododendron trusses, lectures regarding
rhododendrons, other plants and associated subjects, study
